Congratulations on this great find for Multnomah County--only the second record (to my knowledge) and that was only last year or the year before. This species is really nearly unknown to occur away from the coast anywhere along its range. Yet another species that I have not seen in the county. That list is growing lately with Cassin's Finch, White-winged Crossbill, Pine Grosbeak, and Rosy-Finch. What a great start to 2007! Good wishes to your family.
