WAVED ALBATROSS BILL-RATTLING

6/30/07 We got to watch multiple pairs of Waved Albatrosses performing their mating ritual which includes bill-snapping and bill-rattling. The latter, shown here, involves the two birds using their long bills like swords rapidly clicking them against eachother. One will also extend its head and neck up into the air and give a long loud "whoo-oo" call.
