Tree Swallow, Bald Eagle, Purple Martin

Oak Island was pretty quiet this morning, with no flycatchers and few warblers, but this Tree Sparrow posed nicely by the side of the trail.  They nest there and are by far the most numerous sparrow in that area.

Bald Eagles are again nesting at the northern end of the loop trail and this one was perched right by the nest.

And Purple Martins were attending nestboxes along the channel, and this pair flew in to perch on a wire.
