What a lovely bird and photos Andy. It is my impression that Pacific Golden Plover is the more regularly reported species of golden plover in Western Oregon inland and at the coast. I once saw a very obvious (long-winged) juvenile American Golden Plover off of Holman Point on Sauvie Island in September (Columbia County), but that has proved to be the rare of the two species. Would you agree?
I supposed Ruff and Ibis are next for Broughten Beach...
