Western Screech-Owl

Last night we discovered that Western Screech-Owls were nesting in a cavity in a tree in our yard.  This is the same nest hole used by Screech-Owls 9 years ago, but not since.  Today one of the owls spent the whole day perched in the hole.  At 5:30PM they both flew out and for the past 2 hours one or both have been frequently calling.  The duets are delightful, with one calling and the other, in a different tone, responding.  In fact, I can hear one calling right now as I'm typing this.
